LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is a methodology for assessing environmental impacts associated with all stages of a commercial product, process, or service lifecycle. In agriculture, products include cereals, fruit, vegetables, oils, meat, milk, eggs, and mushrooms.
Horta’s expertise involves the life cycle inventory of food raw material products, specifically crop cultivation. Horta’s infrastructure supports agri-food consultants in drafting LCA reports for products.
Digital field notebooks provide agricultural data to quantify greenhouse gas emissions and other impacts needed to prepare LCA performance reports. The collected data feed algorithms, and the KPIs obtained provide ready-to-use field data for agricultural LCA analysis.
